If you've got all your settings correct, good connections, and the printer 
works well, then the BN most likely is not compatible.  I know it doesn't work 
with Lexmark printers and the Hewlett Packard 700 series because the same thing 
happened to me as what's happening to you, and when I inquired, I was told they 
were incompatible.  HTH.
