Hi Mary Ellen,
You need to make them into MP3 to play on the BrailleNote. Although you
can play wav files, these are limited to a few seconds in length.

Subject: [Braillenote] Downloading audio files question:

Hi!
I have a couple of short exercise tapes I want to put on flash card to
bring to California with me and play on the Braillenote. I'm using
soundforge V. 5.0 and what I want to know is should I record them as
wave files or Windows media files or mp3 or what do I use? Any help
would be greatly appreciated as I have never done this before.
