Hello all,

Recently, there has been some conversation on the list about using
ActiveSync with the BrailleNote. Let me try and answer the queries from
list members.

Firstly, remember that the com port baud rate in Windows is not meant to be
set to the actual speed that you're connecting at, rather, it is a maximum
speed. So, as long as the maximum speed is not set below the speed at which
you're trying to connect to the PC, you should be fine. Therefore, you
should not need to touch the port settings at all.

Secondly to clarify a point, in KeySoft 4.01 and below, there are two rates
at which you can connect to ActiveSync. They are 115.2 kbps (the default),
and 19.2 kbps. In KeySoft 5 however, those two rates are still available,
but we've added a third rate which is by the way, also the default. Now you
can connect at 57.6 kbps.

If you have any further queries, please don't hesitate to contact me.
