Yes, window-eyes provides a way that you can hear each character as you type
in a password edit box, but asterics are displayed visually as you type.

Hello Listers,
The reason I brought up the password concern is I know when I used Window
Eyes I could disable the asterisks from coming up and it would show what I
was typing in.  I didn't realize that sighted people saw asterisks when
typing in passwords.  You would think everyone makes mistakes and that
computers and other devices should have a feature to disable the asterisks
from showing.  You would think this would be beneficial to everyone.  Maybe
I'm alone here? Lisa
