Hi to all on the list, I joined the list last weekend and posted a question already and then realized that I didn't introduce myself. I am Matt and live in Brooklyn, NY. I am a middle school teacher of students who are severely emotionally disturbed but on grade level. I am originally from NY but have lived in Tampa FL for the past ten years and decided to move back to NY because of the great transportation the city has. I have been using different technologies for the blind and visually impaired for almost twenty-five years and can remember the bulky Kurzweil reading machines of the 1970s. I have only had my BrailleNote for about a month now and am loving it. I use it mainly for reading documents with my students. I have a desktop which I use for e-mail and most other tasks. I will occasionally be needing to use my BN on the road for e-mail but that's about it. FOr my uses, the BN was the best way to go. I lok forward to meeting new people who use technology or who just want to talk to another blind professional. I see this list is very active and I will try to keep up with it all but probably won't be posting too much because I am extremely busy.
