I've been playing with the new keysoft 5.1 for the last day. Fir of all, the
install was really easy, and I installed it on both my bn and my wife's
without a single
hitch.

The planner is really neat and still experimenting with it, but all my existing
appointments were imported correctly.

I've also noticed, with the last couple releases, that the bn took quite a
while to come up when a compactflash card was left in the slot. That seems to
have
pretty much disappeared with keysoft 5.1 now.

Also,I've had a very annoying problem with my network card. Whenever I'd
insert the network card, the bn would freeze and I'd have to do a reset. But,
with
keysoft 5.1, this seems to have gone away. There is a slight delay when I
first turn on the braillenote and then I get a "card inserted" message even
though the
card had been inserted prior to turning on the bn. But, no more lockups. I
can live with the short turn on delay and it's definitely far better than
having to do a
reset every time I turn the bn on with the network card inserted.

So,although no bug fixes were reported as having been implemented, some bugs
have, nevertheless, gone away. Not sure if it's my imagination or just
conditions, but it really does seem that internet performance may be a bit
better also.
