hi there listers, I must confess to being slightly relieved to read of the
weaknesses in the gps mark 2 system discovered by some users in the US, for I
was beginning to think that it was only the UK version that was affected. I am
sure that, by now, the Firm are aware of our feelings and of the faults of
which we surely justly complain. I know for a fact that much work as a matter
of urgency is being carried out and we can only hope for a speedy solution to
our problems with this system. However, in fairness to the Firm, and not
wishing to revoke one word of what I have previously written, there are times
while using the gps both in actual and virtual modes, that I occasionally get a
glimpse of what, if perfected, will be a marvellous aid to many of us. If, in
the short term, the routing problems and strange city selection could be sorted
out, then at least the system would be of genuine use. However, I am beginning
to be convinced that absolute perfection in line with the initial launching
claims, may have to wait a bit longer. I personally do not wish to be regarded
as a hostile witness, but one who will do all that's possible to help to prove
this system, and make it a remarkable innovation. The time is surely not yet
arrived for demanding our money back, though if the Firm eventually admit
defeat, I'll try to be at the head of that queue.
