Hi all,

Jamie, your points are well taken; except that someone pointed out
that some people can not afford to have both a BN and a 'puter. I
think that this may be a slight exaggeration because anyone who wants
to give it a go can probably get an older computer and a hardware
synthe and run Linux for about $600 or so. But if you have to have
Windows, then, she's right, it does tend to get expensive. Therefore,
folks want their BN's to be their computers. That's why really
assessing the decision to buy a note-taker is vital if you're going to
get anywhere fast. If you really need a laptop instead of a
note-taker, then that is what you should buy. On the other hand, if
you need a braille display, and you need the capabilities of a
note-taker instead of a laptop, then the BN is what you want.

I personally do not intend to use my BN as a computer, since I have a
computer and can access web sites in MSIE should I need to do so.
However, I think we need to consider the needs of others besides
ourselves.
