Jerry,

I use my BrailleNote to access computers at my university campus. I also use
the BN's e-mail and Internet functions for communicating with my professors
and completing research assignments.

As a deafblind student, I also use my BrailleNote to access real-time
captioning information in my university courses. (Real-time captioning is a
means of conveying auditory information to the deaf, deafblind and hard of
hearing via text. A captionist types a written transcript of what is said
aloud in class on a laptop computer equipped with a screen reader. I read
this information on my BrailleNote and can easily participate in class
discussions.

I also use the BrailleNote's GPS when I ride the bus. It's great because I
can locate my stop independently without having to worry about the driver
forgetting to tap me on the shoulder when we reach my destination. I can
also learn about various businesses and restaurants in my neighborhood that
I never knew about before.

I've been a happy BrailleNote user for the past 2 1/2 years. It's a
wonderful product and one I hope will continue to keep pace with the
ever-changing world of technology.

Lisa
