Hi Richard,

Sorry I don't have your original message to reply too. I received the email
at home and was in the process of rushing out the door but I'll partly reply
to your message here.

What I stated on the list regarding the operating system last week is only a
likely outcome. I guess I'm having to retract a bit of what I said here
and I probably went over the top a bit originally, talking in an almost
definite manner when I should have said that I was only stating what is
currently a likely outcome. At the end of the day, we cannot say for
certain, whether an upgraded operating system could be implemented on the
BrailleNote as it is, without further investigation. I want to stress here
that I'm not saying that there has or there hasn't been any investigation
done in this direction as it isn't my job to make announcements in this
area. The only other thing I can say on this subject is that it is Pulse
data's aim to make the BrailleNote as it currently stands, last as long as
is practical, so there needn't be any worry about people having to upgrade
their BrailleNotes tomorrow.

Further queries on this subject should be directed to the BrailleNote
product manager in the first instance as I am unable to comment on the
direction of the BrailleNote family of products any further in this regard.

Richard, I'll send you an email regarding KeySoft off the list.

Dean.

Regards,

Dean Jackson
