Hi,

As a predominantly Braille user, I find the following characteristics
disappointing.

 1. A proportion of the prompts are *not* automatically displayed; for
example, after having found a virtual address, instead of the prompt asking
what you want to do with it, a blank line is shown. By pressing the advance
key, the message is then displayed but this should be automatic. Similarly
with the 'unable to create route' message I've previously mentioned!

 2. Some of the displayed material looks as though it's taken straight from
the synthesiser output; for example, whenever a prompt for a POI is
displayed, this is shown as p o i, with spaces interspersed which is what is
normally required to force a synthesiser to spell a word rather than
pronounce it. Again, another example, is in the display of
folder/filenames - when a \ is required, the actual word backslash is
displayed.

Apart from the fact that this is aesthetically unpleasing and gives the
impression that Braille support in the GPS has been provided as an
afterthought, there is a practical reason why this approach is
unacceptable - it takes up unnecessary space on the Braille display thus
reducing the amount of valuable information.

To me, this is a bug and should be fixed; however, I wonder how long such a
bug fix would take to filter its way through the system and whether it would
simply be incorporated in the next paid upgrade!
