Betsy, The card reader is not for the bn itself as far as I know. The card reader is for the pc and can be used as an extra drive on which you can store or erase things on flash cards. You could, for example, download an mp3 file that was too big to download on the bn onto a compact flash card and then play it later on your bn if the sample rate and all that is right. Hth
