John, thanks for your well-reasoned and objective message. Actually an
improvement to the Calculator is very high on the priority list. It is not
requested much on this list, however it has been requested highly by many
of our customers.

You are correct that user demand for a feature has a huge impact on its
priority. For example, the original intention was to have an SDK released
quite early in the BrailleNote's life cycle. However, the vast majority of
our user base made it very clear that they wanted the BrailleNote to
browse the web, and in the end, we must respond to market demand. This was
a major change to the product and took some implementing. An SDK is also a
huge commitment that involves dealing with some pretty fundamental
infrastructural issues. I think the fact that we've just invested a
significant amount in increasing the capacity of our Development team is a
sign that we mean business in terms of meeting customer demand.

It's been a challenging nine months for me. When you are a product
manager, there is a time to be relatively disciplined and silent, and a
time to shout exciting things from the roof tops. I am very pleased to say
that the time for being relatively silent is almost over.
