Hello Jay and others,

Please remember that there is a limit to the number of maps which
BrailleNote GPS can have loaded and operational at once. At this time,
it is not possible to load and use all of the state maps simultaneously.
When using a 5 gig card, my suggestion would be to divide your maps
in-between two folders. One would be your active maps folder, defined
under GPS options, which GPS would check and load maps from upon
startup. The second would be a backup or holding folder where you store
maps not currently in use. In this way, state maps can be moved back
and forth between your active and storage folder as required, and your
system is not unnecessarily slowed down by having too many maps in use
at one time.

Regards,

Hi Peggy,

Yes, it is a great thing for what you need.

About the maps, they come on 7 Cd's and the state where you live comes
on a compact flash card.

What I am doing is buying a 5 gig hard drive to download the maps on.
This will give me the whole country at my fingertips.

I hope this answers your question.

Sincerely,

Jay Dailey
