I just got the Nokia 6800, and it works very well with the IR port and the BN. I was unsure about how well it worked as a phone, because I usually seem to get the "service unavailable" tone when trying to use it from home. But I've tested it other places and found that it usually connects quite well, so perhaps I just live in a semi-dead area for second generation phones. But although I have semi-difficult voice connections on the phone from home, I connected right off with the IR to the net from home. Haven't tried it from anywhere else.

Hi all. Well, its about time I start my occasional search for a new cell
phone. I'm interested what newer phones people might be using, that they
like really well, with the BN. I hope that by having the availability with
the IR port and a cell phone, to use to get online, that this means there's
more of a selection for us to choose from in terms of newer phones. Is this
true? I'm not planning on using the BN with a cell phone anytime soon, since
I can achieve much faster speeds on my PC with a dial up connection, unless
i can use the IR port, and also unless the use of the IR port means surfing
at high speeds. Then I'd be interested, grin. Mainly though, I'm trying to
plan for the future, for when I will want to use the IR port.

Anyway, any insight on this would be much appreciated.
