Hi. I had a similar problem about six months ago. Thru a combination of
different resets, Braille display exercise, turning the Braille display on
and off, etc, I could get it to work for awhile. Then, I started getting
random garbage displayed sometimes. Then, the timing of the dots would get
messed up; e.g. different parts of the display would update at different times.
replaced. I was told by someone who is quite reliable that I had done
further damage by continuing to use the BN. I was told that if I had sent
the unit in six months ago, I likely would only have needed one panel
replaced. Send it in now!

I have what I believe is a hardware issue with my display on a Braille note

When I turn on my Braille note and use it, the first 6 dots do not work,
they are stuck in the down position as if there was an indentation of six
spaces on the line. This happens both in keysoft version 5.1, and when I run
4.01 from rom, so I don't think it is n software issue. The weird thing is
when I turn my Braille note off all the dots rise up to there normal half
down position. When I exercise the Braille display the dots refuse to move,
but it still rises up when the thing is shut off. Appreciate any info on
what is wrong, and if there is a way supported or not to try and fix it
myself instead of having to send it in for service.
