Hi, Wow, I'm sorry this happened to you and know it could have been any one
of us; maybe the person with the coffee could help you out with repairs;
maybe pdi could offer a payment plan and a loaner; it wasn't your fault.
I know it's hard to not check out possible damage, but it's best to dry
stuff out before turning it on. sometimes if we can get things dried out
they work again.
best of luck,
kat

Subject: [Braillenote] HELP! CATASTROPHY

I just had the computer user's worst nightmare happen to my BrailleNote.
Someone bumped me with hot coffee in their hand and spilled coffee on the
unit. I'm pretty darned sure it'll have to go back because the Braille
display keeps cycling through the menus very quickly. Has anyone ever had
this experience? What will the cost be for repair? Is there anything I can
do to minimize the damage. I did dry it off and turn it upside down. It
worked for a few minutes and then went crazy. Any information will be
helpful. Also, can someone give me the number for Pulsedata. It's on the
BrailleNote. Lastly, let my experience be a warning to you all. KEEP THE
CASE COVER Closed!!!!!!!!
Thanks to all.
Paula Jordan, who's sick at heart.
