Hi John, I just got my bn back about 3 weeks ago from being upgraded. I was told when I sent it in that KeySoft 4.01 would be burned into ROM, and ks 5 would be installed in flash. I had some trouble with JAWS 4.5 with bn as a display not panning correctly I didn't have this problem with 4.51 or 5.0. I concluded it was JAWS, but it very well could have been something else. I drew my conclusion after spending a lot of time on the phone with tech support and by the fact that other versions of JAWS didn't have the problem. Hope this helps.

To check to see if a unit has been, with out doing a reset, just look on the root of the flash disk meaning the none folder and if there is a file titled keysoft.exe pretty good chances the unit's rom hasn't been upgraded. And while I have your attention, does anyone know if JFW 5.0 will work with the BN's braille display? I've heard some talk there's an issue and just curious.
