Hi Jerry,

The easiest way to establish an Ethernet connection with the BrailleNote is
to do a 456 reset on the BrailleNote and delete all partnerships from the
PC.

Once you have done this, remove the ehternet card from the
BrailleNote for 10 seconds and insert it once more.

Now, if you have DHCP on your network, the BrailleNote should detect this
and an IP address should be assigned to it.  Establishing a connection this
way means that you don't have to touch the BNIP program at all.

If you don't have a dedicated DHCP server running on your home network, try
running ICS (internet connection sharing) on your PC.

If for some reason, you need to statically assign an IP address to the
BrailleNote, let me know on the list and I will assist you further.
