There's no problem with the Find facility in Keymail with regards to making 
entries.  A space is entered by pressing ENTER with B (CTRL with SPACE) which 
is the command to enter a Binding Space.  It has the same effect as pressing 
SPACE, where in this case, hitting the SPACEBAR won't work.  The problem is 
that this is not mentioned in the manual.
