Nancy,
Yes, you need to add another service. The new service will be a copy of the
original service, except for the local dial-in number for connecting to
Earthlink. You can copy your original service to a second service by using
the copy record procedure. The Keysoft Version 5.1 manual, Section 10.6
Duplicating A Record, explains how to copy a record in the Directory Of
Services. Don't worry that 10.6 mentions the address book. The procedure
still works in the copying of a record in the directory Of Services.

Earthlink has local numbers all over the country, for connecting to
Earthlink. You can get these numbers through www.earthlink.net, or
Earthlink's telephone based help. If you will be dialing from a hotel, you
will probably need to precede your number with a 9 followed by a comma, in
order to get an outside line. I cannot recall at the moment whether computer
Braille is used for the telephone number. Have your Braillenote read back
what you type to confirm that you did it right. Generally, the BN notifies
you when you must type using computer Braille. I assume that you are using
Earthlink, based upon your original e-mail to the list.

If you have any questions, ask the list. If you have an earthlink question,
contact me off list, as Earthlink details . Aren't really on topic for the
Braillenote list.

Sincerely,
Jerry Weinger

Subject: [Braillenote] Add A SERVICE

Hi. I have a question. I've obviously put my info in the Add A Services
part of the MENU. If I'm going out of town, do I do another Add a Services
and fill everything out the same way with a different access number,
obviously. Do I put a #in and a regular comma before the number? I have all
the numbers upper-case in my original entry. The book said computer
Braille, but tech support said upper-case, and they were correct. How will
this be distinguished from my original address? I've never done this before,
and tech support said I had to figure this out myself. Will it say which
number do I want to call, or what? I want this to go smoothly. Thanks for
any help you can give me.
With good humor and hope, Nancy Ung
