I am not surprised about the mp3 but I do recall some folks had success with 
waves but how it was done I did not follow as I did not have the higher density 
storage options at that time.

You can't play MP3's because the Media Player for this purpose was introduced 
in KeySoft 5.  I never tried playing WAV files, but if you try doing this, I 
don't think anything would happen if you couldn't play them; when you hit ENTER 
on the file from Directory, you would probably just get an error beep.  The 
first time I tried playing WAV's was with version 5.  HTH.
