Hi,
It was possible to upgrade the firmware of the Blazie note takers by
flashing the rom using a pc. This technology isn't new and isn't limited to
pcs. All kinds of devices are flash upgradable. The Book Port from APH and
the Plextalk from Plextor are two devices that I happen to have sitting on
my desk which are both flash upgradable.

Hi folks,
You are forgetting this is a pda, not a computer!
I don't think you can upgrade your I paq either like you are talking about.
Remember PDA, not computer, if you want the features of a computer then
buy a computer. PDA, personal data assistant.

Hi,
Most devices these days have flash rom which is upgradable by the user
from a pc. Too bad that the BrailleNote doesn't have this technology.

To bad we can't pop out the rom like one of those little 200mb cds, put it
in a cd burner or cdrw on a computer, and burn it, then pop it back in the
braillenote.
With each keysoft upgrade pulsedata could send us five 200mb rom disks. They
could also be sold.
