It might if AOL is allowing one to configure an email client to use Pop server. I don't know if this will work with the Braillenote, AOL may have some proprietary manner in which things are required to be set up, but if they do in fact support conventional pop and SMTP protocols, it would seem that one should be able to use AOL with the Braillenote.
