Hi Pdi and list,
One thing that would be helpful in both the speech and braille would be an
automatic percentage counter on emails like there is when linking or connecting
to a web page or site.
This would be especially true if the email isn't downloading very fast or if it
is a long email that goes past the default setting and therefore takes longer
to download.
Yes, you can do this by hitting enter, but if you are deaf-blind or if you are
using speech and doing something else and the bn just sits beeping, sometimes
you wonder if it's still really connected or what?
Another thing I would like to see is the bn knowing when it's been disconnected
by something other than the user, for example, by the server either because of
a glitch or something else.
I haven't noticed it as much with this loner, but my unit used to get
disconnected and still continued to beep away and say "connecting to-- as if it
were still getting email. (This is a version using the classic motherboard and
4.01 recently updated to 4.02.
Also, if I don't want to miss an important phone call, could some way be found
to make the bn recognize and automatically disconnect when a call came in on
"call waiting?
I know this is a little long, but I think this would help both deaf-blind and
hearing people a little.
