Hi Sherri, As far as tutorials go, I can recommend something to you which might be helpful. On the Pulse Data website, there is a two-part MP3 tutorial for the BrailleNote BT, which will demonstrate the BrailleNote's reactions to the topics discussed. Go to the website www.pulsedata.com/products/notetakers/braillenote_manuals.asp. Here, you should see a link to the tutorial, and once you've clicked on it, you should see the parts to download. They will take quite awhile to download on a dial-up connection, but you might find the tutorial helpful. The software the equipment list is referring to is a CD-Rom that should have come with the unit. There will be a braille label on it, and the label should say something like "PC Software for BrailleNote Family v5.0" or such, but it might say another version, such as v4.0, for you, depending on what version you have. It should contain a minimum of electronic manuals and ActiveSync, which is a program that you use to transfer files between your BN and PC and to synchronize files between the two; it could also contain BNip-config.exe, a program which allows you to set up your BN for networking for such things as wireless broadband connection, and another program called KeySync, which allows for synchronization between the Contacts List of Microsoft Outlook and the BrailleNote's KeyList Address List. The KeySoft program, which is the BN's internal multipurpose software suite that has all the applications you use on the BN as part of it, is already installed, and the software mentioned in the Equipment List is for using your BN with a PC.
