Thanks for this one, Dean. It was indeed annoying to find 30% of the mail I downloaded this morning to be from one or two list members who were just repeating the same stuff and weren't being helpful, let alone interesting or amusing.
May I just add to your list of pointers my request, again this is just a request, that if a list member has already posted a question and they see it get distributed because for sure they'll receive their own copy of their post, do NOT repeat the questions in another post saying, "Did anyone get my questions? I haven't heard from anybody yet." or, "That's good, but what I want to know is this... or what I'm asking is that..." when there's obviously no confusion as to what is being asked. The person who originally posted the question can just sit back and relax, then wait for all the answers that the question might elicit, then reply to all of them if necessary but in not the same number of posts.
