Karen, A Template determines what fields of a database record will be copied, and it also handles the format of the copied record. In your case, you will be offered the Templates of the KeyList folder of the Flash Disk by default, which is where you want to be, and you will be offered Templates that have already been created; they all use the Address List database, which is what you want, and they are used for different situations, as implied by their names: "Phone List Template", "Envelope Template", "Letterhead Template", etc. I suggest you look in the KeyList folder of the Flash Disk and read through the templates if you are unsure as to which one you want to use when copying your record. If you are unsatisfied with the templates, modify an existing one or create one of your own. In the index of your User Guide, look up Templates Topics, and you will read all about template creation. Note that the field list you are presented with from the Insert Field option of the Templates Menu, if you decide to modify/create a template and need to insert a field, is the field list for the database selected through the Select KeyList File option of KeyList. If your only database in KeyList is the address list itself, you should be fine. However, as an aside, if you ever want to create a template for a custom database, select your custom database's KeyList Definition File from the Select KeyList File option before doing so. If you are using anything below KeySoft 5.1, you will see the option called "Select KeyList File" directly in the KeyList Menu; if using 5.1, enter the "Setup Options" of the KeyList Menu, and it will be grouped there along with "New Entry Language" and "Free Database Space". As far as your situation goes, once you have selected your Template, the record will be copied to the clipboard using the fields and format settings of that Template. If you have any more questions regarding this, just post. HTH.
