I ordered the card from their website.
They are located in the U.S. and I got the card in about 3 days.
I ordered the nonruggedized version, I think the card number was a 2901.
The ruggedized one was about $15 more.
The big difference was that the nonruggedized version allowed me to remove
the cable assembly from the card, which made it easier to store and carry.

If I remember correctly there is a store or buy link.
I also remember there being a catalog link that showed you all the products
that they make.

BTW, I did some checking with PDI on the 10/100 m-bit card and was told that
it wouldn't work.
This was disappointing since all my places that I connect are 100 m-bit
connections.
Though for what ever reason, processor etc, it runs so slow with the network
card compared to any other computer I use, even a i-pac, I suspect that 100
m-bit would be n gain and just cost more.

Subject: [Braillenote] Socket Communications?

Hi all,

I'm trying to order the network card for the BN. I went to Socket
Communications, or what I thought was them, and the web site is so confusing
that I gave up in disgust! Does Humanware sell these cards or what? Is
there a U.S. distributor for this special network card?
I need a workable web site I can go to or a telephone number that isn't in
Australia. Thanks.

Ann P.
