I finally fixed my problem by deleting the appointment from the computer and from the planner, entering it in the planner and syncing with the computer.
Whew! Oh, yes, and I have to do all this for two braille notes,. I had problems setting up the older one because since it isn't the one at work with me most often I had not entered any items in the planner after it returned to me in late November, 5.1 did not like that idea at all but I eventually got it working.
