There's a file called chitab.txt which is located on the Windows folder on the 
KeySoft Systems Disk.  When someone had stars in their Braille display, it 
turned out this file had been corrupted.  This could have possibly been your 
problem, as I think this file controls aspects relating to the Braille display. 
 Re-installing KeySoft might fix your problem.  HTH.
