Maria, a tty or tdd is a machine (or program) that lets you type in real time over the phone. It's kind of like having a conversation, but instead of talking, you type. There are also deaf relay services in which an operator handles conversations between those who have a tdd and those who don't, for example, a deaf person and a hearing person without a tdd. I think a tdd would be a wonderful thing to add to the bn!
