DEar Ann, Did you realise every time your posts quote someone else's message the first name of the person you are quoting is repeated along with the quotation? I'm not criticizing, I just wonder if there is a way to prevent it from happening.

Now, for my fondest wish. Long before I was a : Mary> Braillenote user, I was (still am) a Windows user. What I : Mary> long for is a file management system that more resembles : Mary> Windows Explorer. I'm probably hugely outnumbered here, but : Mary> I'd love to go to the file manager menu, press D for : Mary> directory and right from that file list do all of my file : Mary> management. Deleting, renaming, copying and moving without : Mary> having to go through all of the menus. Another thing I'd : Mary> like is a file and folder structure that makes sense. I : Mary> would like to simply move through a directory and land on a : Mary> folder within that directory and simply press Enter and be : Mary> given access to that folder. Finally, I would like to : Mary> permanently set my Braillenote to view all files. Thanks. : : Mary> -----Original Message----- From: : Mary> [EMAIL PROTECTED] : Mary> [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of : Mary> roberts Sent: Wednesday, March 31, 2004 10:36 PM To: Pulse : Mary> Data Subject: [Braillenote] My Braille Note issues : : : Mary> Hi. I seem to ask questions and answer them myself : Mary> eventually most of the time. I want to than those people : Mary> such as Doug, Maria, Bob, Brian, etc who welcomed me, and : Mary> people such as Rachel, Karen and Stuart who have tried to : Mary> answer some of my questions. If either you, Karen, or Rchel : Mary> want give me any private phone numbers off-list, feel free : Mary> to do so. I've known Mary Ellen Earls for a long time, but : Mary> I haven't seen her in years. It was shocking to hear from : Mary> others I've known such as Brian Zolo and Bob Acosta. There : Mary> are others, and this information's personal and irrelevant. : Mary> Anyhow, I'm finally writing e-mails on my Bn 18, and I love : Mary> the fact I can I can write in Grade 2 Braille without : Mary> worrying about translation problems like with my Braille : Mary> Lite arsmilear. I have a tendency to write too fast and the : Mary> keys stick. Anyway, I looked inthe manual which I have : Mary> mixed emotions about, and I'm wondering if someone can walk : Mary> me through how to fill out a sampe form. It appears as if : Mary> there's an extra dot in my display coming from somewhere. I : Mary> know my cursor is to the right of each word which I don't : Mary> mind, but where's this dot coming from? Hmmm. It could just : Mary> be the cursor appearing inthe word as I write argrinar. : Mary> Anyhow, I hope people don't get too upset with me for my : Mary> next concern. I received my Braille Note on the #be0th of : Mary> March, and I've likeeaffned quite a bit on my own, : Mary> considering. I've had a couple nice conversations with Also : Mary> from tech support. I work in customer service with Amtrak, : Mary> and my job doesn't afford me much flexibility in waiting : Mary> long periods of time to get help. I get up early, and : Mary> usually I've had to wait too long and haven't been able to : Mary> get some major help I've needed. Anyway, maybe Jonathathan, : Mary> whom I had the pleasure of meeting at Csun in Los Angeles or : Mary> someone can enlighten me on this situation with Pulse Data : Mary> tech support which I don't plan on depending upon, but from : Mary> what I understand there might be just maybe two people : Mary> answering calls all day. I could be wrong, so please let me : Mary> know. I think this list is fanqstic, but sometimes I want : Mary> to talk to someone directly, and I may not want to bring a : Mary> particular problem I can't handle to the list. That's m y : Mary> choice, right? We're all spending lots of money for these : Mary> great products, and I feel taken aback when I've had a : Mary> couple major problems that hven't been resrved in what I : Mary> considered an even reasonable period of time. I don't need : Mary> instant gratification but I'm new, eager, intelligent and : Mary> when something's explained to me the right way, it clicks : Mary> immediately. So much for my soap box, and I apologize if : Mary> I've offended anyone. I hope to be helping others inthe : Mary> near future. I'm keeping a file of the posts I feel are : Mary> important to me. This is about the best list I've been on. : Mary> Nancy Ung : : : Mary> ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to : Mary> [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list : Mary> archives or change your preferences, visit : Mary> http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote : : : : Mary> ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to : Mary> [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list : Mary> archives or change your preferences, visit : Mary> http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote : : : : : : Mary> ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to : Mary> [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list : Mary> archives or change your preferences, visit : Mary> http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote : : : -- : Ann K.
