Is there no service centers where their folk can do this job without having to ship the unit in? For example, I could maybe make the trip to Des Moines, Iowa, if it meant being able to get the new battery. Why, I have family in Chicago. If there were service centers in large cities that would do the battery transfer, one might be able to justify a trip to such a place. Just me, sounding off.
