What kind of connection do you have? Is it a landline with a regular ol telephone, or a cell phone? If you are doing a cell phone you want your modem set to hayes compatible on com 1 and no dial tone but as far as the land line, its been so long since I have used a dial up land line connection in this thing I don't have a clue as to how the modem is set.
