This girl has been reading braille since early childhood.  She is a regular 
reader of books from the National Braille Press and has very good facility 
with braille.  I would add, though, that despite the unfortunate description 
of braille in the article, it at least publicizes the accomplishments of a 
blind teen in competition with sighted peers.
