Hello Listers, Thanks for everyone's help with all of my weird file issues. I did find out that the default for creating new documents was set as a text document so I changed the defualt to a Keyword Braille document. I think part of the problem was that two copies of the files were being created. O suggestion I would have is when you press h of help it gives you some idea of problems you might experience and what suggestions to fix those problems. Thanks for everyone's help and time. Lisa
