Hi Jeff, Yes, I would just change the smtp server to smtpauth.earthlink.net and turn authorization to yes on the braillenote and forget it.
It will work just fine when you are at home. Actually, I've heard earthlink is going to change all out going messages over to authentication on anyway, so it would be good to set it that way. You don't currently have to do anything regarding the receiving of messages. Don
