Dear Terri,

My experience of the BrailleNote is quite the reverse of yours, in that the
battery seems to last longer on speech only than on Braille only. I stand to
be corrected by the more technically minded. I have found this problem comes
up more when using the Braille display, because it is possible to write too
fast for the dots to change, as it were, whereas with speech, one can just
glide along at any speed with no problem. I do, however, appreciate the
difficulty of listening to two things at once, but then you could always put a
single earphone in a pocket, thereby just listening with two ears and writing
into a void, as it were.

Perhaps someone could tell us definitely which wins out on the battery stakes,
Braille display or speech.

Warm regards,

Jim Taylor.
