Many thanks to Bob and Maxywax, for the suggestions concerning my braillenote
with its 6.1 upgrade failing to recognize my Hard-disk drive. I have indeed
tried all 3 resets without success. My unit is an Accurite drive, bought
through Pulsedata, and the superdisk drive I believe is also by Accurite. Do I
assume that you have managed to get either of these units to be driven by your
6.1 upgrade, if so, I am relieved, for it means there is an answer to my
problem. And I was blaming the upgrade. However, if anyone else has had Bob's
apparent success with either of these units, I would be grateful to hear from
them. Otherwise, it looks as though my Braillenote might well have to be
returned for individual, and no doubt expensive attention. Come in please.
