[Braillenote] weirdness when translating

Hi,
Has anyone ever seen this?  I'm translating a braille document to text;  I
write the new name;  once I hit "enter" a q appears and then if reads, "text
character 127."  I'm using a BN 32 and I've never had any trouble with
translating until now.
By the way, nothing happens after this occurrence and nothing has been
translated.
I wonder if anyone could explain this and offer ideas about how to proceed.
