Can any of the ocr parameters on this stand alone scanner be adjusted? I've
been scanning for a long time. And there is not a simple answer on how accurate
a given scanner and ocr software is, because it will
depend on what material you are scanning and on what adjustments you can or
can't make to the ocr. that is, aside from the obvious matter of how good the
basic ocr engine itself is, of course. If no adjustments are
available, then at the very least, its an absolute certainty that some
materials, including even books, are not going to come out nearly as well as
they would on a system where you have some control over the ocr
parameters.
