Hi, List! Mike, you do have to run ActiveSync the whole time you're transferring files to and from the BN and PC. Like Sue, I much prefer the compact flash card way of transferring files. You don't need a program to do this. If you use the other method of ActiveSync on a PC, you would have to have that program on any computer, or laptop, that you intended to hook your BN up to. Mainly, though, the ActiveSync is for keeping your calendar on your BN and PC updated, as well as the file transfer. HTH
