Hi Rhonda,

When the BN was first introduced in 2000, the only external storage access
was through the PCMCIA interface.  Later, Compact Flash became available.
To use a CF card in the PCMCIA slot on the side, you would need a CF/PCMCIA
adapter that you would slide the CF card into., or yu could just slide the
CF card itself into the slot in the back.  The PCMCIA slot will probably be
used less and less as time goes on, because PCMCIA is rapidly dying out in
favor of CF.  There was a time when all laptops had PCMCIA slots, but I
don't think new ones have it any more.  Perhaps the next hardware change for
the BN would be to substitute a USB port for the PCMCIA slot.
