Rose, The very first thing I'd try is to go to the microsoft.com site and download the latest version of activesync. A later version than the one you have may also be on the humanware site, but not certain about that.
I believe the latest syncronization techniques came into being around 5.0 but there have also been updates in some areas. The version of activesync I use here is 3.7.1 and I believe there are later versions out there now. Not sure as to when the latest version of keysync came out. But, if you're able to connect to the bn with activesync and only start experiencing the problem when you try to synchronize files, the version issue might be your problem. Worth a try anyway. Don
