Hi list, I recently subscribed to Roadrunner high speed cable internet. I know that my BN will work with this service, but Roadrunner also provides a companion 56 K dialup service for times when you are away from your cable connection. On their web site, it says that you need a PC or MAC to use this service, and lists minimum computer configuration, i. e. OS, CPU, RAM, HD free space, etc. I wonder if there are any Roadrunner customers out there who have tried this dialup service with a BN. I know that many ISP's, including my former one, say that you can't use their service with a PDA, when indeed, you can. The existance of this companion dialup service was one of the things that attracted me to this service.
