You're right, the equivalent of the READ with U QT command is SPACE with dot 1 
on the BT, and the equivalent of READ with O is SPACE with dot 4.  The reason I 
didn't put those commands in (as I usually put in both sets of commands) was 
because Laura had included them in her original message, and the question was 
asking how the task would be accomplished on the QT, but those are the BT 
equivalents.
