I doubt that a CompactFlash card could be damaged if well taken care of. But if 
you're really worried, keep a back-up card of your files. This is easily done 
with a PCMCIA card to CompactFlash adapter. They often cost less than $20, and 
they convert the PC card slot on the BN into a CompactFlash card slot. Then, 
just go to the File Manager, press M and select the file you want to move from 
the CompactFlash slot assuming that's where the original card is, to the 
"Storage card," as it's called, and you'll be well on your way.
