Hi, Jean: I just had to say Hello, since you and I know each other from the
Leader Dogs list. I've had a BrailleNote BT32 since May, 2003. I have
absolutely loved the experience. I love the crispness of the Braille display,
and I enjoy the ability to do email and surf the Internet az well. The
BrailleNote was actually the thing which got me back into reading a lot. The
speech is also excellent. It's the old KenNote Gold speech. Except for one
major malfunction, which necessitated sending the unit in for repair, I have
had no trouble with it. I've seen the PacMate, but have never used one, so
can't comment on it. You should find this list very informative. The people
are quite willing to answer questions. Remember: not question is a stupid one,
if you don't o the answer.
