Hi Listers

In a previous message, somebody noted that their dot 2 doesn't fully come up.
I have this problem with the dot 4 in the ith cell of my Braille display. When
no other dots are showing, it will sit there, brazenly half exposed, but when
you need it, it's infuriatingly almost absent. A 7 comes out looking like an
8, a 4 like a 5, a 6 like a 2. With some signs, it really doesn't matter,
because I know Braille well enough to guess what they are, but when I have to
use the Braille display will looking up telephone numbers, it's a different
story. I have rung wrong numbers quite often because because it problem.
Also, when editting a document, I'm never sure whether the incorrect Braille in
that cell is due to me, or the Braille display.

I spoke to Anthony Kirkpatrick at Pule Data in Sydney when I first noticed this
pooblem, and he assured me that he'd checked and cleaned the Braille display
and everything was in working order so I don't know what to do.

Can anyone advise me?

Thanks.

Michele
